Based in the South West of England, we deliver smaller projects with our own team of craftspeople and collaborate with a trusted network of contractors for larger builds. Using modular systems and sustainable materials, we design and construct homes, extensions and renovations that are healthy, energy-efficient, and ready for the future.
Meet the Team
Luke Carnaby
BA (Hons) MArch ARB
Luke is a Registered Architect and builder based in South Devon. With over a decade of experience working in high-end residential and design and build practices he has developed a firm grounding in not only architectural design, but project management, estimating and the administrative roles required to ensure a project can be delivered successfully.
Luke is particularly interested in developing sustainable, healthy homes and is focused on utilising natural and cultivated building materials with industrial processes, contemporary design language and modern methods of construction.
Grown Home was started in 2024 with the aim to design and deliver high quality, sustainable and healthy residential work without compromise.
Vivienne Hinschen
ARB | AACA NSW #11945
Vivienne is a Registered Architect from Australia with eight years of experience across high-end residential design, small-scale public architecture, and education projects. She brings a strong skill set in design and strategic thinking, construction documentation, and on-site coordination.
Originally from regional North Queensland, Vivienne believes the profession has a responsibility to prioritise socially and community-focused architecture in regional and rural centres. With an emphasis on place, craft and climate responsiveness. She is passionate about ecological architecture - particularly healthy buildings, durable and thoughtful materials and low-embodied-carbon construction.
In 2024, Vivienne completed her Hemp Masonry Certification through the Australian Hemp Masonry Company (AHMC), further strengthening her commitment to regenerative and climate-conscious building practices.
